100 Founder Coffees - what’s it all about?

Last year I posted about embarking on the 100 coffees challenge. However, I soon realised that a good outcome in my work is a coffee with a client - so counting these felt like cheating - and beyond that, I sadly was short on time (setting up two businesses will do that too you) to spend too much time booking coffees outside of my client meetings. So if you were waiting on my updates, you would’ve noticed that the mentions of these coffees never resurfaced…

BUT, I’m on a new mission. Inspired by NZ based Igor Portugal, I’m starting 100 *Founder* Coffees and I’m taking you along for the ride!

The Goal?

Simple. To chat with 100 different founders, learn about the path they took to get to where they are and maybe learn a thing or two about building a business (or at least how to order coffee like a pro). And then I’m going to share it so you can join us with a cuppa too!

My favourite bit?

I am going to dive into the journey that took them to entrepreneurship, to understand the journey to deciding they’d be their own “World's Best Boss” (up there with the likes of Michael Scott).

Through these coffee talks, I'm peeling back the layers of their journey. If you’ve been on your own journey, you’d know it's not all sunshine and rainbows, so I’m looking forward to exploring the good, the bad, and the 'what on earth was I thinking?' moments.

My First Guest:

My first guest is going to be Igor himself - the man, the myth, the legend: founder, sci-fi writer, and coffee sommelier (he is doing one founder coffee a day currently, hats off too him!). Watch out for our first coffee later this month but in the meantime, go check out his coffee series here!
